In this leadership role, you’ll guide and mentor other FMS Support Specialists while delivering outstanding customer service to participants and their support teams in California's Self-Determination Program (SDP).

Our Financial Management Services (FMS) team plays a key role in supporting individuals and families as they navigate the Self-Determination Program, acting as a trusted partner in managing employer and financial responsibilities.

Salary: $57,720.00-$60,361.60

Work schedule: Full-Time- Includes in-office training, meetings, and work hours.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service via phone and email to participants in the self-determination program, and their teams
  • Mentor, train, and support FMS team members
  • Serve as the first point of contact for external concerns or complaints
  • Lead “Meet and Greets” with prospective participants, families, and stakeholders
  • Assist managing parties, workers, and FMS staff with timesheet systems and payroll processes
  • Prepare, send, and process enrollment and employee paperwork accurately
  • Conduct monthly reviews of spending summaries and distribute as needed
  • Review and follow up monthly on credentialing for FEA employees
  • Provide information and resources about self-directed services
  • Clearly explain the roles and responsibilities in a household employer relationship
  • Guide internal team members on policies, systems, and tasks

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1+ year of experience supporting individuals in self-directed services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong math and analytical abilities
  • Comfortable managing high volumes of communication
  • Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Excel and data entry
  • Experience with databases and a strong focus on accuracy
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
