A Direct Support Professional provides essential support to adults in their homes and communities—fostering independence, encouraging personal growth, and promoting a joyful, inclusive life. No two days are the same, but every day brings the chance to make a meaningful impact.
As a DSP, you’ll support people in living their best lives. Your role may include:
Supporting daily living tasks like personal care, medication, cooking, and cleaning
Encouraging participation in hobbies, interests, and community events (think: movies, birthday parties, music, games, and more!)
Teaching and modeling life skills through everyday activities
Promoting safety, comfort, and independence in the person’s home and community
Being a strong advocate for people who may not always be able to advocate for themselves
Laughing, having fun, and building meaningful connections
Pay rate: $17.00/hour
Increase to $17.25/hour after 90 days and training completion
Maximum pay: $18.75/hour (based on years of service at Mains'l)
Shift Options:
Morning: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Evening: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM / 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Overnight: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM / 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Part-time and full-time available based on needs and preferences of the people we support

Must be 18 years or older
Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI background check
Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation (if applicable)
Ability to pass a TB test and physical (if applicable)
Clear driving record (if applicable)
