This role will be supporting both our agency partners as well as our internal payroll processes. Key Payroll Responsibilities:

As a Payroll Accountant Admin Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all payroll-related activities, ensuring compliance with multi-state tax laws, and maintaining accurate payroll records. You will work closely with the Solutions team and HR department to:
  • Process Bi-Weekly Payroll for household employers and internal employees across multiple states, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Submit Payroll Transactions related to banking, taxes, deductions, and garnishments.
  • Maintain Payroll Data by entering, updating, and managing employee information in the payroll system.
  • Manage Timekeeping System: Regularly maintain and improve the time tracking system to ensure smooth payroll processing.
  • Prepare Payroll Reports and provide them to relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Ensure Tax Compliance: Process tax filings and payments, including state, federal, and local tax reports and W-2/1099 distribution.
  • Stay Updated on Payroll Laws: Monitor changes in payroll regulations and adjust systems and processes as needed to comply with new laws.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain up-to-date payroll records.
  • Supervise the Administrative Assistant, providing coaching, performance management, and support.
  • Month end financials: preparing and providing financial statements to Exec and Senior Leadership teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of payroll accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years of experience processing multi-state payroll.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other payroll software systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teams and stakeholders.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a focus on system enhancements and process improvements.
Work structure: Hybrid position- in office a minimum of 3 times per week.
