Mains’l Services is seeking a Lead Operations Specialist to join our FMS team. In this lead-level role, you’ll serve as a resource and mentor to FMS team members while helping ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial and operational processes.

You’ll also serve as a first point of contact for external complaints and concerns, using your knowledge of FMS processes, systems, and policies to help resolve questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Salary: $57,720.00–$60,361.60 annually

Work Schedule: Remote/Hybrid. This position includes in-person training, work time, and meetings at our Brooklyn Park, MN office.

What You’ll Do
  • Mentor and train FMS team members, providing guidance on policies, systems, processes, and day-to-day questions.
  • Collaborate with the FMS team and internal departments to develop and implement best practices and procedures.
  • Conduct detailed audits of spending plans and authorizations and provide feedback and follow-up when issues are identified.
  • Assist with auditing participant and employee files for completeness and accuracy, including accounts payable invoices, prepayment and reimbursement documentation, and vendor credentials.
  • Deliver Regional Center authorizations to the Mains’l Billing Department and FMS Support Specialist.
  • Review timesheets, payroll reports, employee setup, and spending summaries to identify and correct errors.
  • Serve as a resource to participants and stakeholders regarding DDS changes and information received from Regional Centers.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for external complaints and concerns, helping identify appropriate solutions and escalating issues when needed.
  • Support a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and providing responsive customer service.

What You’ll Bring
  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to supporting participants, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Experience working with financial management systems, with an emphasis on budgeting accuracy, data entry, and detailed recordkeeping.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and seek assistance when needed.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of daily communications and processing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • College degree preferred.
